Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-20

This page describes, in plain English, how PocketGrow is offered. It is provided for transparency and is not a substitute for legal advice. Questions? Email support@pocketgrow.com.au.

The agreement

By creating an account or using PocketGrow you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Accounts & parental responsibility

You must be 18 or older to create a family account. Parents and carers are responsible for setting up and supervising any child or teen profiles attached to their account, including chore values and jar settings.

Acceptable use

  • Don't use the service for anything unlawful or to harm others.
  • Don't try to break, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Don't upload content that's abusive, illegal or infringes others' rights.

Money & jar balances

Jar balances in PocketGrow are a tracking tool — they represent what a parent owes a child for completed chores. PocketGrow does not hold real money on behalf of children and is not a bank or payments service.

Subscriptions & refunds

Paid plans renew on the cycle shown at checkout (typically monthly or yearly, in Australian dollars). You can cancel any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the current billing period. We don't generally offer pro-rata refunds for partial periods, but nothing in these terms removes the consumer guarantees and refund rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. If something isn't working as promised, contact support@pocketgrow.com.au and we'll make it right.

Changes to the service

We may update PocketGrow and these terms. If we make material changes, we'll tell parents by email or in-app notice before the changes take effect.

Liability

To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, PocketGrow is provided "as is" and we limit our liability for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer guarantees that can't be waived.
